Welcome to the newly-revamped brookeellison.com, one of my personal corners of the ubiquitous Internet. It's through this medium that I would like to share my thoughts about all things -- both those especially significant and those seemingly less so -- and how they have affected my life in any number of ways. I preface this, though, with the confession that blogging is not something to which many of us are naturally predisposed. After all, "talking" to an uncertain number of people about thoughts on life through the window of a computer screen is a pulpit few people would have ever expected, and is weird no matter how you look at it.
But, the vastness of the Internet has, interestingly enough, brought many people together. I hope that, through my postings and experiences, we can strike a level of connectedness. Especially in times when far too many view others through the lens of difference, maybe it's through opportunities like this -- when we can speak about life without pretense or inhibition -- that we realize we are much more the same than we think.
